I'm very skeptical if that has a realistic chance of happening, but I'd be happy to be proven wrong. However, given the amount of text and the fact that this is a niche game with a limited audience, a professional translation seems impossible, it would never recoup the cost.Ī fan translation might be possible, but I'd estimate that this would require a structured, reliable work environment and at least a dozen of very dedicated people who are willing to devote several weeks of their spare time to the project. ![]() That said, translations would definitely be appreciated by many potential players. In fact, the game is quite good at bringing its (fictional) late medieval setting to life without resorting to historical terminology. The sentences aren't overly long or complicated, and the vocabulary isn't particularly difficult either. If you're able to understand Wikipedia texts, then you shouldn't have trouble with this game. The game and the story are worth it even if you have to look up some words. The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante is a narrative-driven RPG that comes to life on the pages of the protagonists journal. ![]() I would strongly recommend playing this game in English, if at all possible. I remember playing the original Zork back in the 80s with a dictionary by my side - it definitely improved my vocabulary a lot. Games have probably done more for my English than any other medium.
